"Blessed is Yahveh, who rescued you from the hand of Egypt and from the hand of Pharaoh." Exodus 18:10
It was an embarrassment for Moses and for Israel that
until Jethro declared, "Baruch Hashem - Blessed is Yahveh" no one else had done so. Not that others before him had not praised
Yahveh for the great things He had done for them, but Jethro expressed gratitude for what Yahveh had done for others - "Who
rescued you" - he gave thanks to the Almighty for His actions on behalf of others.
